How to study with IGNOU?

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is a Central Open Learning University located in Maidan Garhi, New Delhi, India. IGNOU was established to serve the Indian nation via distance and open education, delivering high-quality university education to people of all walks of life.

It also seeks to promote, organize, and establish standards for remote and available education in India and improve India's human resources via schooling. Aside from teaching and research, the university's academic activities focus on extension and training. It also functions as a national resource center, promoting and maintaining remote education standards in India.

Studying for IGNOU isn't all that tough. Let's me quickly give you some tips:

  • Read the books offered and take notes in a way that will aid you at test time.

  • Make a couple of trips to your study center to explore what additional resources are available.

  • Don't replicate answers straight from books or the internet; examiners are pretty familiar with their terminology and may deduct marks if you do. Write your response in your style in the context of the topic you're studying.

  • Examine the previous 2–3 years' question papers and attempt to answer them on your own to improve your performance.

  • Review all of the notes that you produced on your own.

  • If you wait for hard copy study materials, you may waste time because IGNOU examinations are held twice a year, in June and December.

  • So, instead of wasting time, you should refer to the softcopy material (until you obtain hard copy study material), create your assignment, and send it to the study center.

  • The softcopy content is available for download at the IGNOU website.

  • Revise all of the notes that you produced on your own.

  • The study center to which you are assigned will develop and send you the counseling and practical sessions schedule.

  • Attend theoretical counseling seminars to get academic assistance. It is not, however, required.

  • Practical classes are required 75% of the time.

Following these, you will find it easy to study in IGNOU and can score good marks providing all IGNOU help. Exam achievement requires much study and preparation. However, it is impossible to determine how to organize your preparation time effectively unless you have some expertise. To get the most out of your tests, you should examine the exam tips and methods for students listed above. However, there may be other options that work better for you, so investigate all of your options and ask your friends how they study for exams - some of their exam study ideas may be helpful to you.
